[WANDERLUST] New Year Traveling & Volunteering at KRAKATAU | 3D 2N | 30 DEC 2014 – 1 JAN 2015 | IDR 675.000

Wanderlust Indonesia offers you a different package of traveling to enjoy “Anak Gunung Krakatau”. We strongly second a quote by James A Michener which goes ‚ÄúIf you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay at home‚ÄĚ. In other words, the real traveling is not merely about how many places you’ve been in, it’s more however about what we get alongside our jouney.

“When Travelers Meet Locals” is our quote.

We aim to make our Wanderers (the way we called our travelers) having chances to live and interact with Locals in tourism location, to share inspirational stories and conduct diverse volunteering activities that we’ve designed in line with characteristics and needs of targeted places.
We are looking for a traveler, not a tourist ūüôā
This time, we offer weekend trip with Wanderlust in Anak Gunung Krakatau!

Donasi Pendidikan Tamanjaya – Ujung Kulon

[WANDERLUST] Traveling & Volunteering at CISOMPET RICEFIELD & KAMPUNG DUKUH, Garut

ricefield trip

Indonesia is an agricultural country, we supposed to have a lot of ricefield, garden, and plantation of any kind vegetables, fruits, etc. Our question is : Have you experience being in those places? or Have you see it around your home? If your answer is NOT YET, then this is the right time for you to experience it!

In the very south area of West Java province, there is a village called Depok village which belong to Cisompet district and Garut regency. This village has no street lights, waters & sanitation are limited, only few people continue the study after high school, BUT they have a very beautiful landscape view from mountain, ricefield, river, and beaches. Who knows in nearby Depok, there is still a traditional tribes from Sundanese called “Kampung Dukuh” that people can visit as well. But above all, Depok village has the very happy Sundanese inside that could be your future new family by experience staying with the locals at their home!

Wanderlust bring the new program of Traveling & Volunteering in Cisompet by combining activities like Visiting Kampung Dukuh traditional tribes, Tea plantation, sightseeing the beautiful ricefield landscape, swimming in Cikaso river – with giving back to locals like helping the farmers working at the ricefield, teaching the kids in Elementary schools, supporting locals fair trade by buying “Depok Garbage Craft” ,¬†and other exciting experience.

The most exciting part is that you get the chance to live in a host family and interact a lot with the locals.
